Why volunteering

Volunteering abroad with children is a fantastic opportunity for volunteers, skilled or with no experience, who have a genuine love for children to help make a difference in the futures of underprivileged children from a variety of backgrounds.

Volunteering for education is the best way to learn about fascinating cultures and traditions overseas while teaching in a foreign language.

No matter whether you are on a gap year from school, a student, on a career break or on an extended holiday, there is important work for you to be involved in, as you make an important contribution to the educational, social, physical and personal development of these children.

After years of devastation, many Cambodians now have better access to schooling and the government is encouraging education for both girls and boys. However, the number of children in need of education in the capital city of Phnom Penh is very high. The free schools that do exist are often overcrowded, understaffed, poorly resourced, and sometimes out of reach. By joining the movement you will have a vital role to play in improving the lives of Cambodian children through education.

Toys Kids Donation from Mrs. Kay Collins, Kristy and USA Methodist Church

A few toys are with many kids playing ground. More than 4-year ago that EAC is able to support its kids only to play ground with a few old toys that donated from some kid's families. They felt so stress always hitting each other. Luckily, now, we got a huge toys donation in cost of a thousand US dollar from The First  United Methodist Church Bedford, IN, USA, and Mrs. Kay Collins and her daughter named Kristy Collins. It's a big part to make them fresh and playing ground a better condition. Miss. Kristy is a volunteer of EAC from USA for our kindergarten class. She had helped EAC in teaching kids, training Khmer volunteers of kindergarten teaching methodology, and to facilitate with Hope International School to allow our kids to play ground there in several 4-day per week. Formerly, our kids are able to play ground only in a small ground floor space of EAC old building. Sometime, the kids are lucky when they got payment from our volunteer to play ground at Monkey Business where the foreign kids like playing there. Since we changed our new location and knew Kristy, our kids lives are fresh. Thank so much Kay, Kristy and all the contributors from The First United Methodist Church Bedford, IN, USA. Good Health all. SOKHAN

EAC Cambodia and Ethnic Students on January 2016

Spong Village - It's a very pleasure when Mr. Allan Michaud and I on behalf of EAC Cambodia did a charity job to donate nearly one hundred class books to the ethnic students in a village named Spong, Steng Treng province, in the middle of Prey Lang forest after our 7-day mission there. This activity was done by Mr. Phun Tum, Prey Lang Community Network, as our representative there. I wish to meet all of you there again soon. Thank so much Allan. SOKHAN

An Amazing Day of EAC Kids in New Year 2015

Dreaming - To have the kids living in morality, prosperity and increase intelligence is our object. These never occure to them because their families and community neighbors don't understand their rights. They range in age 2 to 13 years old now. Some of them look like the rich kids because of their white skin but truely are orphans, migrant children, vulnerable and poor kids. Sure, you'll know more clearly of their feeling now if you think of the past years. Now, we are going to change their feeling and understanding step-by-step of their rights and new environment. Absolutely, now they get much fresh feeling when their eyes actually have seen something new. Formerly, they can enjoy it only in their feeling and dreaming by watching TV or the rich kids visiting. So, it's still a wonder in their memory, what is that? They can't even touch it. It is such an amazing place. They really wish to know it soon. Now their dreams become true because they can touch and play something that they wished. This is the second chance that EAC has been able to refer them to retreat there. However, we can process it well due to our private donors from Aurstralia, UK, and Germany for this trip. Likewise, I would like to say thankful for Khmer university students team who had donated some budgets through Mr. Leng Narin, Miss. Man Kunthy, and Miss. Meach Kamgnan. Please enjoy our photos and videos together here.

A Wonderful Visiting Event of RCTC Students from USA

On 29th December 2014, EAC had a group of students from Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) based in the United States visited in its office in purpose to help our kids and young adults to improve their daily living skills such as social communication, sanitation and clean up the teethes. This team led by Ms. Lori Halverson-Wente. They were so friendly and hardly paid close attention to our students. Although, it's a short-mission but it was very useful for our students. Our students here were really looking forward to see all of you again. Thank so much for together. Please click Here to enjoy the photos during the mission.

A lucky day of EAC Kids

More than 3-year ago, EAC had tried to make a chance to refer them to entertain at a site which they’ve never gone and seen it. Normally, they’ve seen and played with only the trash pile and soil in their poor community. Their teachers always tell them about this place, and it makes them anxious and repeatedly suggestion to go there. Sure, they are so boring when they are able to learn and play only in our small classroom at EAC office. Today is a lucky day, and now they are in fresh smiling at their dreamed site after EAC got a donation from EAC students and used a bit part of money from Plista GmbH (German company). We are so proud of our donators that they had tried to help us in this condition. Generally, this place is knew that it's running for the rich children and/or the western children. So, it is a very lucky for EAC kids that they are able to land there. Again, thank in advance for EAC students and Plista GmbH. This event we planned for our kids in once a month if we have enough budget. More photos and videos please click here. And If you support and wish to donate us please !!!
